Review - Ibanez GRX20Z

Hello everyone!

I recently received this Ibanez GRX20Z guitar from American Musical Supply.  Beautiful instrument right out of the box.  Inexpensive at around $150 but certainly not "cheap".  Acoustically it has a nice tone and the feel is comparable to a guitar in a much higher price range.  Stays well in tune with the standard tremolo.  An advanced guitarist may want to upgrade the pickups but that would really come down to your personal needs and tastes.  Those of you who know me know that I'm primarily a bassist so my good friend Barry Lloyd, guitarist of the "Giant Garage Spiders" took it for a test drive for me so the guitar could really be put through its paces.  I'll add that video to this article later today.

LoNero on tour with Paul Di'Anno

I'm very excited to announce that LoNero will be on tour with ex Iron Maiden vocalist Paul Di'Anno on his U.S.A. tour starting this December!  We will not only be main support but also the backing band playing Iron Maiden classics such as "Wrathchild", "Murders in the Rue Morgue", "Ghengis Kahn" and many more.

bass synth pedals?

I've been looking at various synth pedals lately. There are numerous YouTube video demos out there and they all look great. Anyone had any experience with any of the following?

Boss SYB-5
MarkBass Super Synth
EHX Bass Micro Synth

I like the idea of the MarkBass Super Synth since multiple presets can be stored and recalled fairly quickly. So far for me the stock presets don't have much use for me personally. Possibly more tweaking can be done via the software.

I tried an SYB-3 in a local shop some time ago (predecessor to the SYB-5) and wasn't very impressed with the tracking.

From what I've seen in various videos, I like the flexibility of the EHX Bass Micro Synth.

any thoughts?
